lycée Henri IV

23, rue Clovis, 75005 Paris
Henri-IV High School is a public secondary and higher education institution renowned for its excellent results. It is also listed as a historical monument for some of its buildings inherited from the former abbey of Sainte- Geneviève, which date from the 12th to the 18th century: cloister, Clovis tower (former bell tower), chapel (former refectory), Medal room (former cabinet of curiosities). Renovation work carried out around 1996 uncovered remnants of the Carolingian period.
A1 The organ is signed by John Abbey (1785-1859) and dated 1845. According to Yves Fossaert, the design of this Abbey is indeed very "classic French" (pipes cut to the tone), as it was still practiced at the beginning of the 19th century - and so, in terms of instrumental aesthetics, this Abbey sounds. Overhaul by Yves Fossaert in 2016. Source
